- 1). Select the "Select & Zoom" function under "Tools" in the top menu bar and select the "Hand Tool."
- 2). Click the side of the text box to reveal the resizing buttons on the box and on the line.
- 3). Click one end of the line and hold down the mouse button to drag the line closer to the side of the box.
- 4). RIght-click the text box and select "Properties."
- 5). Click the "Appearance" tab and select "None" in the drop down menu next to "Line Ending" to remove the arrow or shape at the end of the line. Change any of the text box properties (such as border color) if desired.
