SEO Article Marketing Services - A Guide for First-Time Buyers

This article is for those people who are considering signing up to SEO article marketing services.
I am writing this article to help you ensure that you'll make well-informed decision in choosing the individuals or firms that you'll partnered with.
Here's what you need to do:
  1. First step is to know exactly what you're looking for.
Take a couple of hours and establish your goals.
Ensure that they're something that you can measure.
How much traffic do you expect to get after say a month or two? What's your ideal page ranking? How much more sales you would want to close in the next couple of weeks? It's important that you're very clear with your goals.
You will need to communicate these with your service providers so they can easily figure out the exact things that they need to do in order to effectively help you out.
  2. Know your budget.
How much are you willing to spend in this endeavor? I asked because your budget will have a major role in choosing your partners.
If you want to sign up with those who have proven track record in this field, you will need to spend more.
Established freelance article marketers are charging no less than $10/article and that includes submission to hundreds of directories.
Those who are just starting out (those who don't have the needed experience) usually charge $3/article.
You can hire them at your own risk.
  3. Do your research.
You don't sign up with a certain freelancer just because his website is appearing on the first page of listings when you search for the phrase "freelance article marketer.
" You need to make sure that he is perfect for the job.
Call him up and ask for sample articles to verify his skills.
Ask for his online portfolio and list of clients he has worked with in the past.
Call at least 3 of his previous customers and inquire about his work ethics.
  4. Hire on a trial basis.
You don't want to entrust your entire article marketing campaign to a firm or a group of people without any proof that they can really offer you with great results.
So, I suggest that you hire them on a trial basis.
Ask them to write and distribute articles for 1-2 weeks and see if they're very effective on what they're doing.
You can re-hire them or not based on their performance.
  5. Be clear about your rules.
Be upfront with your rules and demands.
Tell your freelancers what you can expect to get from them in exchange of your money.
Talk about issues regarding payment, content duplication, content optimization, revision requests, and anything that you think might cause problems in the future.
Write these down and send them via email so you and your freelancers will have something to refer to later on.
