Excel Training From Microsoft

To find Excel Training, navigate to the Microsoft Office online. Once there, click on the "Help" and "How-to" tab. On the left side of the screen, in the "How-to" resources section, select "Training," "Demos," "Webcasts," or "Podcasts" to see all of the available training that Microsoft offers. - From the "Help" and "How-to" screen, select "Training" from the "How-to" resources section and then select "Excel 2007." This displays the Excel 2007 roadmap. This roadmap provides users with a training outline to follow and build skills with Excel. The trainings start at the basics, Getting to Know Excel and Creating a Workbook. This first section also contains information on creating formulas and using dates. From there, the training walks you through Creating Charts. Finally, it finishes up with Pivot Tables. There is more training available on how Excel interacts with other programs, like Microsoft Access and Microsoft SharePoint available on this roadmap as well.
- From the "Help" and "How-to" screen, select "Demos" from the "How-to" resources section and then select "Excel 2007." The demonstration section shows users how to complete a certain task. The demos open another screen that displays a video as well as audio. Some Excel 2007 demo topics include Getting Up to Speed with Excel 2007, formatting, creating a flowchart and many more. There are more than 70 demos available to watch, with more being added.
- From the Help and How-to screen, select "Webcasts" or "Podcasts" from the "How-to" resources section and then select Excel 2007. Webcasts are approximately 60 minutes long videos and audio and are created by Microsoft Excel experts. These webcasts can be downloaded and viewed at a later date. Podcasts are essentially just the audio recording for the webcasts that can be synchronized with MP3 players. Some of the topics included in the webcasts and podcasts include Top 10 Excel Tricks, Formatting with Conditional Formatting and Creating Attractive Charts.
- Training is not limited to Excel 2007. Microsoft online also offers training on Excel 2003, Excel XP and Excel 2000. To find these training sessions, simply select the corresponding tab from the "Help" and "How-to" screen.
