    • 1). Open the Control Panel and click the "Internet Options" icon. Depending on your version of Windows, you may have to choose Classic View to see this icon.

    • 2). Click the "Content" tab. In the Content Advisor section, click "Settings." If you have previously used Content Advisor, you must enter your password to continue.

    • 3). Select the "General" tab in the Content Adviser. In the User Options section, check the box marked "Users can see sites that have no rating." Leaving this box unchecked will block all but those sites specifically approved in the "Approved Sites" tab.

    • 4). Click the "Approved Sites" tab. Enter the web address of the site you wish to block and click "Never." Enter the address exactly or the block will not operate. Repeat this step to block other sites. Click "Apply" when finished.

    • 5). Change any other desired settings and click "OK." If you have not already created a password, Windows will prompt you to create one, along with a password hint. Only users with this password information can access blocked sites or change the Content Adviser settings.
