How to Make a Rasengan Effect in "Paint.NET"

  • 1). Open the image you want to modify in Paint.NET.

  • 2). Select the "Add New Layer" button at the bottom of the "Layers" palette.

  • 3). Click the "Ellipse Select" tool in the toolbox.

  • 4). Click, hold and drag your mouse over the area you want to add the effect on the canvas. Hold down the "Shift" key as you draw the shape to create a circle. Release your mouse once the circle is the correct size.

  • 5). Select "Effects," "Render" and "Mandelbrot Fractal" from the menu. The "Mandelbrot Fractal" dialog box opens. Move the dialog box until you can see the canvas underneath.

  • 6). Adjust the settings in the dialog box until the effect looks the way you want. Leave "Invert Colors" unchecked and click "OK."

  • 7). Select "Effects," "Blurs" and "Fragment" from the menu. The "Fragment" dialog box will open.

  • 8). Set "Fragment Count" to "40" and "Distance" to "10" and click "OK."

  • 9). Select the layer containing the circle on the "Layers" palette.

    Click the "Duplicate Layer" button at the bottom of the "Layers" palette to duplicate it.

    Double click the duplicated layer on the "Layers" palette. The "Layer Properties" dialog box will open. Change "Mode" to "Color Burn" and "Opacity" to "255." Click "OK."

    Select and duplicate the duplicated layer a few more times until you have the desired effect.
