How to Set Up Email for Apple
- 1). Select the "Mail" application from the dock or "Applications" folder. The Apple "Mail" application has a stamp icon.
- 2). Click "Automatically set up account." This option will set up Gmail, Yahoo, AOL or MobileMe programs automatically.
- 3). Use the manual setup for any other email programs.
- 4). Click "Mail," then "Preferences," then "Accounts." Click the plus ("+") button.
- 5). Click "Account Type," and select one of the following options: .POP, IMAP, Exchange 2007 or Exchange IMAP.
- 6). Enter the "Description"---the name that will identify your email account in your Inbox.
- 7). Choose your "Full Name"---the name your recipients will see when they receive your email.
- 8). Type in your email address in the appropriate field.

Enter your "Incoming Mail Server" information. Your email service will provide this information. - 11
Enter your "Outgoing Mail Server" information. Your email service will also provide these instructions. - 12
Check the box next to "Use Authentication," and input your username and password. - 13
Your setup is complete. You should see your mailbox in the left pane of the Apple "Mail" screen. Your messages will appear on the top right of your screen, with a preview pane below.
