- 1). Go to the Craigslist homepage.
- 2). Click on the city in which you would like to advertise your posting.
- 3). Click "Post to Classifieds." Click on the type of posting you are creating and click "Continue."
- 4). Type a title and location for your posting in the appropriate boxes. Type your posting text in the box. When you need to create a hyperlink, paste the URL of the website that you want to link to into the text box. You must include "http://" or "https://" before the rest of the URL. When you finalize your ad, Craigslist will convert this address into a hyperlink to your website. Craiglist does not allow users to create a hyperlink with a dedicated title; you can only create a hyperlink of the URL address. For instance, you cannot create a hyperlink that reads "My Blog" and have it connect to your blog when users click on it. You can only create a direct link to your blog.
- 5). Click "Continue" when finished editing the rest of the posting. Your Web address will appear as a clickable hyperlink in the final posting.
