- 1). Open "Run" and type "regedit" into the field. Press "Enter" and wait for the Registry Editor to appear.
- 2). Navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main."
- 3). Right-click "Use Search Assistant" and click "Modify." Change the value to "No" and click "OK."
- 4). Right-click "Search Page" and click "Modify." Change the value to the full URL of the search engine you want to use, including "http." Click "OK."
- 5). Right-click "Search Bar" and click "Modify." Type in the same URL into this field and click "OK."
