- 1). Place a ladder against one side of the house on the patio. Position the solar collector at the end of the string lights on the edge of the roof.
- 2). Turn the solar collector over, if necessary, so that the solar panel faces up. Tape the sides of the solar collector to the roof using duct tape.
- 3). String the solar patio string lights across the edge of the patio roof. Insert a push pin between the wiring of the lights into the edge of the roof every foot or so. Remove the ladder.
