How to Make Edible Leaves for a Wedding Cake
- 1). Spread a small handful of flour or cornstarch over the counter or table that you are planning to work on. This will prevent the edible leaves from sticking.
- 2). Flatten some white fondant into an 1/8-inch layer using a rolling pin that has been rubbed down with flour or cornstarch.
- 3). Arrange leaf cut outs over the fondant, and press straight down to create the leaf.
- 4). Use a spatula to gently remove the leaves and transfer them to a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
- 5). Mix 1 tbsp. of water with one drop of green food coloring and apply to the white leaves using a paintbrush.
