What Should I Do to Get My Ex Girlfriend Back - The Rest of the Story

When my girlfriend broke up with me and threw me out, I was lost.
I didn't know what to do.
In the cab ride over to my buddies place I asked the cabbie, "What should I do to get my ex girlfriend back?" What he told me surprised me but he convinced me that I should do it too, and I'm glad I did.
I've already said in the previous article what I did to get things rolling towards getting back together with my ex girlfriend.
Real quick, they were getting over the break up just so I could function on a normal level.
Then I figured out some of the things that I had done wrong in the relationship and set about changing those things in me.
Then I simply had fun with my friends and family.
What I did next I realized that I was actually doing all along.
I discovered that most people go nuts when they get caught up in a break up.
They call all the time, text even more, beg, plead, cry, throw themselves at their partners feet, etc.
When that fails, then they turn to revenge, stalking or just plain being a nut job.
I avoided all that because I had some sound advice.
I didn't call or text or talk to her in any way.
Her mother tried to contact me but I let my buddy talk to her and I didn't return any calls.
Let me tell you, this was not easy.
I really wanted to talk to her and hear her voice again.
I mean deep down inside I was missing her in a bad way.
But the plan was to avoid contact for a while, so I stuck to the plan.
Now what I did next is going to sound like a contradiction to what I just told you I did, but remember  I had been doing it all along, so about four months had gone by.
I had a football jersey that my ex always liked to sleep in and football season was about to begin and I noticed that it was missing from my wardrobe.
Now this was a ready made excuse for me to contact her.
I was lucky that way.
You might not be that fortunate and have to make up some excuse of your own.
Anyways, I called her and asked her about the jersey and then we talked a little bit, about two or three minutes, I told her I was going with some friends to a movie and had to get going.
I called her again a few days later and asked her if I could get my jersey from her.
We agreed to meet at this park we used to go to in the summer.
I bought her a snow cone and we talked for about twenty minutes.
She gave me my jersey back, but we made another date to get together the following week for a lunch and to talk about the possibility of getting back together.
She seemed happy and I was stoked because it seemed like there was a good possibility we could get it all back.
