How to Remove the Nhatquanglan Virus
- 1). Run Microsoft's "Malicious Software Removal Tool." In order to do so, select "Run" from your PC's "Start" menu and type "MRT." This application comes pre-installed with Windows 2000, 2003, 7, XP and Vista operating systems. If the virus is preventing you from accessing the "Start" menu or the "Run" function, download a new copy of the program from the link in Resources.
- 2). Click "Next."
- 3). Select "Full Scan." Though this takes longer than the default "Quick Scan," it has a higher likelihood of removing the Nhatquanglan virus.
- 4). Click "Next." Wait for the program to complete the virus scan.
- 5). Follow the prompts that appear in order to remove the Nhatquanglan virus.
- 6). Click "Finish."
- 7). Restart your computer.
- 8). Change all your system passwords. The virus may already have put them online for hackers to use.
