Many people are raving about the diet because of the quick weight loss it affords people.
Now it is important to understand that the Mayor Clinic has never endorsed or studied this diet.
The clinic actually thinks that these types of diets are dangerous and very unhealthy.
The main premise of this diet is to eat half of grapefruit with every meal.
The science behind this diet comes from a study done by Dr.
Ken Fujioka.
He found that grapefruit does help you lose weight, but not in huge sums.
Someone else came up with the idea to lowering calories and adding grapefruit.
The Mayo Clinic Grapefruit Diet is not one that I would personally recommend.
