Help - I"ve lost my job and I need money!

How many unfortunates are in this position now? How vulnerable are they to scams, taking advantage of their desperation?

I’m lucky; I’m not in that position. You can scarcely go anywhere on the internet these days without seeing the ads telling you that “you too can earn $1,000 per day”, “become an internet millionaire overnight”, or other such claims. How tempting is it for the desperate to spend the little money that have in hope of making some easy money on-line; and how the vultures circle.

I have always fancied the idea of making some extra cash, or even a respectable living at home, independent of others, and putting in as much or as little work as I fancied. But my cynicism lead me to ignore these adverts. Well, I have to confess I did click on one or two, but I was quickly put off by the hard sell websites I found myself in. You know the sort of thing: sign up now for this unbelievable course, e-book or newsletter, available today only for a fantastic knock down price of not $ thousands, not $hundreds, but only $xx.99. “7 secrets of internet millionaires”, “8 things you should do to make a fortune”. Or I’d be directed to a “product review site”, which strangely seemed to review only one or two products and heavily promoted the top product.

Well, as I said, I’m not desperate, but curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to do a little research to see if there really is any substance to the claims. I found a couple of genuine product review sites covering such courses. They re-enforced my prejudice that much rubbish is being pedaled, and people are being taken advantage of. However, amongst the majority of rubbish, there are a couple that are worth looking at. I took the plunge and signed up with one course called
Profit Lance (there is a link to more information below).

Much to my amazement, it was a very comprehensive course, based around a website. The author endeared himself to me by immediately pointing out that although many do get rich working the internet, usually they do not get rich quick, and only after gaining the knowledge and mastering the necessary skills, was I likely to emulate them.

The website is loaded with resources and you do not have to pay anything extra for them: tools for finding keywords; links to useful websites; a vast library of e-books; and a comprehensive array of video tutorials taking you through the steps necessary to start earning a living out of the internet. The style of the videos is a little, let’s say informal, but the content is fantastic. You will learn the 4 main ways of making money on-line (selling things; affiliate marketing where you get commission from sellers for directing customers to them; pay-per-click advertising, where advertisers pay you each time someone clicks on an ad on your website; and lead acquisition, where vendors pay you for information about prospective customers). You will learn the three keys to success: traffic volume, traffic volume and traffic volume. You get a number of pre-prepared websites, lots of detailed, valid and effective advice, and great value for money. I made back my $77 within a couple of days, and a few weeks on I am making a tidy sum by applying the lessons.

The course is not perfect, although it is pretty close. Some of the screenshots of Google sites need updating, but do not really detract from the learning. And personally, I found the style of presentation on the videos a little too laid back. However, I am being picky here; I have, since, tried a couple of competing products. They told me nothing that was not covered in the Profit Lance course, and none were anywhere near the same quality.

I’m not an internet millionaire (yet), but I am now making an average of $95 per day, which steadily increasing. That’s pretty good after three weeks, and makes the $77 initial investment seem an absolute bargain. The great thing about the income is that, with little extra input, it is recurring. What I mean is that work I put in during week one earns me $20 per day; that’s $20 per day, every day. So in week two, with a steady stream coming in I could concentrate on building another stream of income, and so on. If I can average $95 per day after three weeks work, I should be quite well off after 30 weeks. If you do the math, remember that the income comes in 24/7, even if you don’t work quite that hard!

Do you need any prior knowledge? Not really. I have no programming or website building skills. I’m not even an experienced internet user. I have run other, traditional businesses, but I have not been able to transfer many skills to this one.

Can you get rich (quick)? I tend to agree with Profit Lance’s author. It is possible to make a good living out of this system, but it is unlikely that you’ll make a fortune overnight, and you have to be prepared to put some time in to learn how to do it. However, I truly believe that 6 figure incomes can be made. After all, I’m a third of the way there after just three weeks.

Do you need lots of capital to start-up? No, absolutely not. I was cash-flow positive before I’d spent more than $100.

Is it suitable for someone who has lost their job and needs an income? Yes, I truly believe that it is. You don’t need money to start it; just common sense, a bit of time, and a will to learn. This truly could help people generate an income for themselves, when there is no hope of a job.

Is it fun? One man’s fun is another’s bane. I really quite enjoy the process, although I limit how many hours I spend on-line each day. You do have to put the time in to learn what to do. But results come quickly, and it is really quite exciting seeing the first few dollars, pounds or Euros come in.
