- 1). Lower the handle and turn the Hoover vacuum over so the bottom faces up.
- 2). Move the "Brushroll Control" to "Hard," which turns it off. Remove the bottom plate on the vacuum.
- 3). Lift out the brush roll and slide the belt off the roll. Clean away fiber, strings or hair from the brush roll with a pair of scissors. Wipe the brush roll with a clean cloth.
- 4). Return the brush roll to the vacuum, placing the opposite end from the belt into the vacuum. Slide the belt on the other end of the brush roll and push gently into position. Close the bottom plate on the vacuum.
