How to Remove the Radio From a 2008 Honda Pilot

    • 1). Locate the two screws on the bezel around the gauge cluster, just above the speedometer. Remove them using the Phillips-head screwdriver, then pull out the bezel using your hands.

    • 2). Pull out the panel just to the left of the stereo and to the right of the cluster you pulled out in Step 1, using your hands to release the clips. Place the blade of the flat-head screwdriver between the trim panel on the other side of the stereo bezel and the dashboard, and carefully pry out the panel.

    • 3). Hold the trim panel around the stereo, using your hands, and pull it toward you to release the clips holding it to the dashboard. Unplug the electrical connections on the back of the trim panel, using your hands.

    • 4). Unbolt the stock stereo from the dashboard, using the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket, then lift it out of the dashboard. Unplug the wiring and disconnect the antenna lead.
