This article is going to look at some of the most effective StarCraft 2 Terran tips for defeating your opponent regardless of their race.
Let's take a look at these StarCraft 2 Terran tips now.
One of the most basic StarCraft 2 Terran tips to keep in mind is that it's always a good idea to wall off the entrance to your base, especially when playing against different races.
If you're playing Terran on Terran, it's really up to you.
Another of the less obviously StarCraft 2 Terran tips is that It's oftentimes a good idea to wall off your mineral line, as well.
Zerglings, hellions, and really any ground units can run into your mineral line and destroy your economy which makes it difficult to defend yourself or train new units obviously.
To wall off your mineral line you can build a wall of supply depots from your command center to your refinery or the furthest mineral patch.
Note that you've got to do this on either side of your command center.
Note any holes between the minerals so that you can close them off, as well.
It's a good idea to set your mineral wall to a control group hot key, enabling you to quickly access all of the depots on the wall at once and raise them with "R" to protect your harvesters in case of attack.
Another one of the most effective StarCraft 2 Terran tips is effective use of the Ghost Nuke Rush.
Nukes aren't as powerful in this game as they were in the original, so you can't take a couple of ghosts into an enemy's base and destroy their major buildings easily and quickly anymore.
The upside is that in this game nukes are easier to get and the focus now is to disrupt your enemy's economy/harvesters.
Nukes won't decisively defeat your opponent, so if you want to perform an early nuke attack you should have a steady production of units to defend and attack back at your base.
Your first target with the nukes should be your opponent's minerals.
Taking out their workers enables you to continue on your course while they take time out to rebuild their economy and mineral harvesting.
Look out for turrets, photo cannons, overseers, any units which can stop you from getting in.
Once you're in the back of the base you should be alright.
Certain maps enable you to get behind their minerals from the main path but if it's on a cliff you can't see it without using Orbital Command to scan the area.
You can quickly cast a nuke while their minerals are visible and it will still be planted after you lose sight from the scan.
A few final StarCraft 2 Terran tips concerning the Nuke Rush: Nukes are gas dependent so make sure to expand early on.
Build multiple ghost academies, enabling you to have multiple Nukes ready to use one after another.
After you've decimated their supply line, go in with your forces while they're scrambling to get their worker related units back up and running.
