How to Store Personnel Files
- 1). Determine where on the hard drive you want to save all your personal files. It is best practice to "bury" it in the hard drive so it is hidden, as opposed to on the computer's desktop in plain view.
- 2). Right-click in the selected area, then choose "Create New > Folder." A new folder icon appears in the screen. Type in a desired name and press "Enter" to save the location and name.
- 3). Double-click the folder icon. A window opens, representing the folder. Drag and drop the desired personal data into the open folder to import the data.
- 4). Close out the open window, then right-click the folder icon and choose "Properties." Select the password option, then type in the desired password (you are required to do so twice to confirm). Click "OK." The folder is now password protected. You are now required to type in the password to access data stored in the folder.
