The toboggan is an invention of the Indians who lived in Canada. Which tribe invented it is up for debate; however, the toboggan's practicality and ease of use has ensured its continued existence throughout the world. Cascade Toboggan, a company based in Washington State, modified the design of the original wooden toboggan to create a durable rescue tool for the extreme environments of the ski mountains and the backcountry in winter. - The Cascade toboggan comes in two models: the one piece and two piece. Either is constructed of stainless steel or titanium.
