    Hoyle Puzzle Games

    • The original "Hoyle Puzzle Games" compilation was released by Sierra Entertainment in 2002. The game is rated suitable for players of all ages and works for Windows and Apple systems. "Hoyle Puzzle Games" has since been released annually and includes such puzzle games as "Tetris," "Mahjong," "Break Out" and more. As the game progressed over the years, puzzle board games made by Hoyle were also included. Among them are "Chinese Checkers," and different versions of dominoes. A ball movement game called "Placer Racer" and a square combination game called "Star Collector" are also included. Hoyle allows you to make your own characters that appear onscreen for the games. You can change the characters' appearance to your liking. The character appears on the right side of the screen during games.

    Hoyle Enchanted Puzzles

    • The "Hoyle Enchanted Puzzles" video game title includes a variety of puzzle games, some of which are not featured in the annual "Hoyle Puzzle Games" collection. Some games, such as "Solitaire" and "Mahjong," are similar, but have different visual effects. Special Hoyle racing and fishing puzzle titles are also included. Every type of puzzle game includes multiple levels and the opportunity to increase your score each time. The game blends story with puzzles, as you get bonuses and clues from characters strewn throughout your progress.

    Hoyle Crosswords and Sudoku

    • "Hoyle Crosswords and Sudoku" blends two popular puzzle games that are often done on paper. Crosswords challenge you to fill in words vertically and horizontally based on clues that are given. The clues vary in difficulty, and you get a better idea of what to fill in based on other clues you have solved. Hoyle includes a timer option for an increased challenge. Sudoku is a numbers game that forces you to fill in numbers across columns and rows. You must include the numbers one through nine in the rows and columns only once. Hoyle includes alternate versions of Sudoku that combine the game with another numeric title called Kakuro and offer larger columns and rows.

    Hoyle Backgammon

    • "Hoyle Backgammon" allows you to play the board and dice game right on your own computer. There are four different skill levels to choose from, and you can also choose different board looks. Edit the music, play alone or play against a computer-controlled character. The difficulty levels affect you, whether you're playing by yourself or against the computer. The game lets you pick character icons for you and your opponents.
