    • 1). Disconnect the antenna cable that is connected to your vehicle's stereo and reroute the cable to the "Antenna" input on the back of the universal FM modulator. Next to the input will be an out antenna cable that you will connect to the antenna input on the stereo where the antenna was originally located.

    • 2). Connect the red power wire on the back of the modulator to an open power source. This source will most likely be near the power source of the radio, but can also be located elsewhere in your vehicle's dashboard. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual if you are unsure. When the red power wire is connected, run the black power wire to a piece of bare metal to ground the device.

    • 3). Connect the RCA cables from the back of the stereo system to the RCA inputs on the back of the modulator. When this connection is made, plug in an audio cable to the "MP3 Input" jack on the modulator and connect the other end of the cable to the headphone input on your MP3 player.

    • 4). Flip the "Frequency" switch on the side of the modulator to either 87.9 or 88.3. This is the station that you will need to tune your radio to in order for the device to work. If one of these frequencies is already in use, use the other to prevent static. Use the FM tuner on your radio to tune in to the proper station and then press "Play" to begin listening to music on your MP3 player.
