Many diets promise you the moon but the bottom line is that most of them just don't deliver.
Some require people to eat special (and often costly) foods that you wouldn't normally eat, setting them up for failure from the get-go.
Calorie shifting, however, is a fresh new kind of diet that has worked for many people by altering eating patterns in a way that naturally skyrockets a person's metabolism.
Just like our bodies become used to sleep patterns over time, they also become used to eating patterns and adjust metabolism accordingly.
Often this can cause it to stagnate a bit.
That's where calorie shifting comes in.
It is basically a way to trick your body into boosting it's metabolism by alternating the amount of calories you eat in each meal.
In order to do this, you should eat as many times per day as possible without exceeding your intended calorie goal.
Spreading things out over six meals is a good start.
The key to making it work is switching things up.
For example, you could begin the day by eating a pretty large breakfast followed by two small meals during the day.
Then, finish the day off with another larger meal and two smaller ones.
It is important to keep feeding your body to make sure that it is always burning calories.
This is what makes a person's metabolism rise naturally.
Remember to drink plenty of water while doing the calorie shifting diet.
Water helps with you basic bodily functions and it is important to stay hydrated while your metabolism is rising.
Also, snacking should be avoided at all costs!
