- 1). Determine if QuickTime is installed on your computer system. The Apple QuickTime support web page can you help you determine this. See the References section below.
- 2). Download and install QuickTime, if necessary. You can download QuickTime from the Apple website. See the References section below.
- 3). Launch QuickTime.
- 4). Click the "Edit" menu, then click "Preferences" and select "QuickTime Preferences".
- 5). Click the "Browser" tab, then click "MIME Settings".
- 6). Select the movie and media file formats that you want QuickTime to open in Firefox and click "Save".
- 7). Open Firefox and navigate to a web page with a link to a QuickTime movie. Click the link. The movie should load and automatically begin playing in Firefox.
- 8). In Firefox, click the "File" menu, then click "Open File" to find a QuickTime file on your local drive. Select the file and click "Open" to view the QuickTime movie in Firefox.
