How to Copy .EML Into Outlook Express

    • 1). Click the "Start" menu button and then click "Run." Type "Explorer" to launch Windows Explorer.

    • 2). Browse for the folder containing your EML files. Double-click the folder to display its contents in the Explorer window.

    • 3). Launch Outlook Express from the "Start" menu or the Desktop. Go to "View" on the menu bar and click "Go to Folder."

    • 4). Click "Local Folders" in the "Go to Folder" dialog box. Click the folder you want to copy the EML files to and click "OK." If you want to copy them to a new folder, click the "New Folder" button, enter a name for the folder and click "OK."

    • 5). Click "OK" to return to the main Outlook Express screen. The folder you selected is now active. Its contents are shown in the "Messages" window.

    • 6). Arrange the Explorer and Outlook Express windows so that you can see the contents in both. To do this, click the title bar in each window and drag it around. If either window is maximized, click the "Restore Down" icon in the upper-right corner of the window.

    • 7). Go to the Explorer window. Click to select the EML files you want to copy. To select all files in the folder, press "Control" and "A" on the keyboard Or click "Edit" on the Explorer menu bar and then click "Select All."

    • 8). Click the selection once with the left mouse button. Drag them to the "Messages" list in Outlook Express. If a plus sign appears on the mouse cursor, let go of the mouse button. Windows will drop the EML files into the active folder.
