How to Fix Blemishes With Photoshop Cs3
- 1). Open your image in Photoshop and zoom to a 100 percent view. Scroll around the image until you locate a blemish that you want to remove. Depending on the image, there may be more than one.
- 2). Click on the "Healing Brush" tool on the tool palette and select the spot healing brush tool. The spot healing brush allows you to fix imperfections in a photo without having to select an existing source point for reference.
- 3). In the Healing Brush options bar, select "Replace" in the Mode menu and choose "Proximity Match."
- 4). Click on the brush icon. In the dialog box that pops up, select a diameter that's slightly larger than the size of the blemish. Set the hardness slider to 100 percent.
- 5). Return to your photo and find the blemish you want to fix. Adjust the brush size with the "[ ]" keys on the keyboard, place the tool directly over the blemish and click once. The spot healing brush will reference and match all of the surrounding pixels while removing the blemish.
- 6). Find your next blemish or irregularity and repeat Step 5. Note that the spot healing brush can also be used to fix larger marks and scratches by clicking and dragging it over the entire mark.
