Get My Ex Back - Should I?

There are many things to consider when contemplating whether it's a good idea to get back with your ex.
Let's try to hash out some of the reasons you may or may NOT want to do this.
  • The fact that he or she has opened up to a new person should set off warning bells.
If it was that easy for your ex to stray and become open and vulnerable to someone as quickly as they did, what makes you think it wouldn't happen again? That question alone may solve the dilemma for you.
  • If you are a guy, you will try to analyze why the break-up happened in the first place.
Then you may try to come up with ways to make sure it wouldn't happen again if you got back together.
Guys tend to come up with all kinds of ways to fix or repair what happened but is it really worth all of that effort? If you are always trying to "fix" the relationship, it may have been too broken to start with.
  • If the relationship was meant to be, the person will come back.
    You will somehow connect again.
It may be by a chance encounter, a party at a mutual friend's place, or even in a store.
    The spark will happen...
IF (and that's a big "if") it's meant to be.
Try not to get hung up on trying to MAKE a meeting happen.
If the relationship is meant to be, you won't have to TRY to do it.
It will happen on its own.
  • If your ex is in a new relationship, don't try to interrupt or trash it.
It's better to take your focus off him or her completely, even if it's just for a while, and concentrate on yourself.
    Do things you enjoy.
Make it a point to meet new people or do things with people you haven't talked to in a while.
For your own well-being, it would be better to just move forward instead of continuing to be stuck in the cycle of missing the person or hoping they will come back.
  • As hard as it may be to muster up positive feelings, try to look at the big picture.
You never know if there was a serious reason (that you may not even know about) for the break-up.
It may open the door to a new relationship.
Things always work out and this relationship may just have been a lesson to learn from!
