How to Fix a Noisy Spin in a Whirlpool Washer
- 1). Grip the washer from the top, and rock it back and forth to determine which feet are not level with the others. If there is only a slight difference in the balance between the feet, use a level to see where the imbalance occurs.
- 2). Use a 14-mm open wrench to adjust the leveling feet up or down. Turn the leveling feet clockwise to lower a corner or counterclockwise to raise a corner.
- 3). Recheck the levelness of the washer. Continue to readjust the feet until the washer is level.
- 4). Use the wrench to turn the jam nut on each foot counterclockwise until the nut is tight against the washer cabinet.
