1. Model your eBooks from books and eBooks that have already been successful in your niche. You'll find a tremendous selection of examples online or just take a trip to your local bookstore. If your niche is very specific, you may want to find specialty shops and online eBooks sources that have eBooks/books in your specialty and do your research there.

2. Keywords are critical, search for keywords that are getting a large amount of requests through search engines. Generally these are the words that describe what people are searching for online when they are looking for an eBook in your niche.

3. Keep your writing in a conversational tone that can easily be understood by anyone. One of the mistakes I see people make over and over is trying to reach a consumer audience while speaking in the same manner, they would use when speaking to a group of colleagues at a convention! This overuse of language will usually go right over the heads of the people they are trying to reach the most and your message won’t be heard.

4. Always keep your audience forefront in your mind when writing your titles, chapter headings and subchapter headings. The person you are selling your eBook to and the end user may be two different groups of people. For instance, I wrote The Moving Cure, How To Organize Your Move To Save Time, Money & Your Sanity [ http://www.movingtips4u.com] for people who are moving. My plan was to sell this eBook to realtors, mortgage brokers and other businesses that deal with people who are moving. While my sales pitch has to appeal to these type of business professionals, my eBook also had to appeal to the people who are actually moving. So always be aware of who the actual reader of your eBook will be as you organize and write your headings.

5. Loosen up and have fun with your headings. The object of writing your eBook should be to both educate and entertain your audience. So come up with headings that are fun and/or peak the reader’s curiosity. Remember the goal is to grab and hold the readers attention. If your headings are boring, you are going to lose your readers so always keep it informative and entertaining.
