    • 1). Create a new document, measuring 8.5 inches by 11 inches, in your word-processing software. Choose a font, text size and color, and type the wording you desire on to the invitation document.

    • 2). Place a sheet of vellum paper in to the printer. Press "CTRL" and "P" on the keyboard to open the printing menu, select "Properties" and change the multiple page option to "2 in 1." Click "OK" to print your invitation wording onto the vellum paper. Choosing this printing alternative allows the printer to print your wording twice on one sheet of paper.

    • 3). Use a paper cutter to cut the vellum paper in half and then trim one-quarter inch off all sides of each half of the vellum. Each half of the paper should now measure 5 inches by 8 inches.

    • 4). Cut the card stock in half so each side measures 5.5 inches by 8.5 inches. Consider using card stock in fall colors such as muted orange, golden yellow, burgundy or sage green.

    • 5). Cut a piece of patterned scrapbook paper into a strip that measures 2 inches by 12 inches. Use patterned paper featuring fall leaves, pumpkins or barren trees.

    • 6). Run a line of clear glue along the top of the back of the vellum paper. Position the vellum over the center of the card stock and press along the glue line to adhere the vellum.

    • 7). Wrap the patterned paper strip around the center of the invitation. Place a strip of glue along one end of the decorative paper and attach it to the other end to close the paper.

    • 8). Tie a strip of raffia or twine around the center of the patterned paper strip and tie it in to a bow to complete your fall invitation. Repeat the above steps to create multiple invitations.
