1). Open the store. Customers cannot shop if the store is not open. When the store opens, shelves should be filled with product.
2). Use employees. An employee's job is to sell to the customers, so employees with higher skills should interact with customers while employees with lower skills should stock the shelves or clean.
3). Train employees. The better employees are at sales, the higher rankings the store will get. Players cannot directly control employees; they can only give directions. Training employees allows them to work with customers with minimal direction so that the player can manage other aspects of the store.
4). Price items reasonably. Of course, the store needs to make a profit, but if items are priced too high, customers won't buy. This causes ratings to fall, and the store will see less customers.
5). Decorate the store. Customers rank nice-looking stores more highly, drawing in more customers.
