    • 1). Cut delicate, transparent, pastel-colored fabric into 4-inch squares for your flowers. Mix and match colors if you prefer. Cut sections of green fabric into 4-inch squares for the leaves. Mix different shades of green for variety.

    • 2). Fold two squares of flower fabric diagonally, matching the facing corners to make a triangle. Fold the left point up to the center point. Fold the right point up to the center point, abutting the left point. From the top side, this makes a diamond that has a split diagonally down the middle and a solid diamond on the back side. Fold the left and right points backwards to form a triangle. The center of your square is the bottom angle of your triangle. Refer to this as your center point. Hold the center point between your thumb and index finger, and cut a petal shape between the two edges of the triangle, leaving the bottom portion of the center point intact. The resulting shape will look almost like a snow cone. Repeat the process three more times to create eight pieces of fabric for each flower. Open the squares and lay them flat.

    • 3). Fold three squares of green fabric diagonally, matching facing corners as you did for the petals. Fold the left point over onto the right point to create a triangle. Cut down from the outside corners of your triangle at a sharp angle so the cuts meet to form an arrow above the center point. Open the fabric out and you will have a four-pointed star.

    • 4). Lay one of the green leaf stars down and place a dot of hot glue in the center. Take a second leaf star and rotate it about 30 degrees. Lay it on top of the first one. Place a dot of hot glue in the center of the star. Rotate the third leaf star 30 degrees and stack it on the other two pieces. Use an empty pill bottle to compress the leaves together. This will give you 12 leaf spears in a circle like the numbers on a clock.

    • 5). Place a dot of glue in the center of the leaf circle and center one petal circle over it. Choose another petal circle, rotate it 15 degrees and add it to the stack. Alternate gluing and adding a rotated petal circle until all eight petal layers are in place. Press with the bottle. Add a drop of glue and add a pearl button to the center of the flower. Fluff and pull the petals up around the button after the glue cools.
