    • 1). Use a charger that has variable settings for voltage and amperes. If you don't have a variable charger you need to ensure the charger you intend to use can deliver 12 volts and at least 5 amps. The lower the amps the longer the battery takes to charge.

    • 2). Connect the negative black wire from your battery charger to the negative terminal of your 12 volt 9.5amp battery. Connect the positive red wire from your battery charger to the positive terminal of your battery.

    • 3). Select 12 volts and 9.5 amperes on your charger to charge your battery quickly. Set the amperes lower if you want to charge it slower. Slow charging takes longer but the endurance of the battery, once charged, is greater.

    • 4). Plug in your charges to the electricity supply and turn on. Check the reading on the charger to ensure the charge rate is correct. Let the battery charge for a few hours. The meter on the charger showing the voltage and amperes gradually reduces. Once the level has stabilized for a while, or if your charger has a battery full indicator, turn it off.

    • 5). Remove the two wires attached to the battery terminals. Your battery is fully charged.
