How to Make an Electric Clock
- 1). Before cutting the plywood with the circular saw, be sure to carefully measure the item. The clock can be whatever size you'd like. With the quilt block placed on the plywood, move the block until you have the look you want on the piece of plywood. Use scissors to cut the quilt block. Make certain that it's one half-inch larger than the plywood.
- 2). Place the quilt on top of the glue after you've spread the glue over the top face of the plywood. Spread the edges smooth. Glue any edges to the plywood's rear section. Wait one hour for the glue to dry. Use small sections of tape to secure the material to the plywood while it dries.
- 3). Carefully drill a hole in the middle of the top block of the quilt. Affix the electric clock device. The backing to the shadow box should be removed at this point. Now firmly place the clock face into the shadow box and secure the device.
- 4). Depending on personal preference, you can place the clock face to the back of the shadow box, in the middle or nearer to the glass.
- 5). Place glue on the plywood's edges and back after placing it on the desired area. The electric cord will need a place to extend so drill a small notch in the shadow box's lower section.
