How to Transfer Wmp Settings to New PC

    • 1). Navigate to the Windows Easy Transfer page from the PC with the WMP settings that you wish to transfer. See Resources.

    • 2). Download the version of Windows Easy Transfer that corresponds to your version of Windows and select a location on your computer to store the file.

    • 3). Double click the downloaded file, then follow the prompts from the installation wizard until the installation is completed.

    • 4). Click the "Start" or Windows button in the lower left corner of your screen, then scroll to the "Windows Easy Transfer" option and select it.

    • 5). Click the "Next" button, then select the means of transporting files that you will be using.

    • 6). Select the "This is my old computer" option.

    • 7). Click the "Customize" button under the user profile with the WMP settings that you wish to transfer.

    • 8). Select the "Program Settings" and "Windows Settings" options so that the boxes to the left of those options have check marks in them.

    • 9). Click the "Next" button, then enter a password, retype the password, then click the "Save" button.

      Select the location for the Windows Easy Transfer file, then click the "Save" button.

      Navigate to the Windows Easy Transfer page from your new computer. See Resources.

      Download the version of Windows Easy Transfer that corresponds to your version of Windows and select a location on your computer to store the file.

      Navigate to the location of your Windows Easy Transfer file, then click the "Open" button. Follow the remaining prompts from the Windows Easy Transfer wizard until the transfer is complete.
