Troubleshooting WHSB8000 GE Profile Washing Machines
- 1). Inspect the power cord on the GE washer and ensure it is completely connected to the washing machine as well as the power outlet if nothing on the unit is working.
- 2). Unplug the washing machine and wait two minutes before restarting the washing machine if the unit is not functioning as expected. Close the lid firmly and reset the controls before pressing "Start."
- 3). Increase the spin speed selection if the clothes seem too wet after washing. Note that if the items are washed with cold water, they may seem colder after washing.
- 4). Inspect the water faucets and turn both the hot and cold faucets on completely if the washing machine is not filling with water or the supply seems low. Note that the washing machine is energy efficient and may not use the same amount of water as other washers.
- 5). Decrease the total wash time and take items out of the washer if there is lint or residue on clothes after washing. Use a liquid laundry detergent to prevent clumping of powdered detergent.
- 6). Sort like fabrics and maintain a smaller wash load if the items are particularly wrinkled. Reduce the wash temperature, as water that is too hot may result in wrinkles.
- 7). Connect the water hoses firmly at the water faucets if the water is leaking. Reduce the detergent amount and clean drains throughout the home. If the problem continues, turn off the water supply after every few washes to reduce pressure at the fill hoses.
- 8). Turn off the water supply and the washing machine and place a towel under the hoses. Disconnect the hoses and use a soft brush to clean out the inlet screens in the washing machine. Replace the hoses and turn on power and water.
- 9). Reposition the drain hose to below 8 feet above the floor if the water won't drain. Straighten the hose and keep the hose clear of objects that may block or trap it.

Lift up the back of the washing machine at least 4 inches and then set it back down if the washing machine is quite noisy during use. Rotate each leg on the washer to make sure each foot touches the ground. Pull the washer away from the wall slightly to prevent vibration against the wall.
