Hotels in Saasveld, Overijssel

Saasveld is a small rural town in the province of Overijssel in the Netherlands -- approximately 12 miles west of the German border. The town is about 10 miles away from the province's largest city, Enschede. The area was largely supported by the textile industry, centered in Enschede, and a few remnants of the area's industrial past remain. The city is now home to universities, stores, museums and other attractions. There are no hotels in Saasveld; however, there are a few nearby, and more in Enschede. - The Hotel Restaurant Jachtlust is approximately two miles to the southwest of Saasveld, in the town of Hertme. The hotel is set on a wooded property with biking and hiking trails nearby, and is less than a half mile from the historic Old Town in Borne. The Old Town has narrow cobbled streets and a church that dates to the 15th century, as well as nun's homes from the 17th century. The hotel has standard rooms with private bathrooms and luxury suites with whirlpool tubs. Breakfast is included with the room rates. On-site leisure amenities include bike rentals and tennis courts. The hotel has a restaurant with a full bar and a cafe with outdoor seating during the warmer months.
- The Erve Hulsbeek is set in a park about five miles south of Saasveld. The resort is the former estate of a 19th-century textile manufacturer, set in a 230-acre park and nature preserve. The property features fishing ponds, a horseback riding school, jogging and cycling trails, a sauna, a heated outdoor pool and a curling alley. The hotel has 14 rooms, all with private bathrooms and including complimentary breakfasts. The on-site restaurant serves three meals a day and provides catering for private gatherings such as weddings and business conferences.
- This hotel is in the center of Enschende, approximately 10 miles away from Saasveld. It is within walking distance of the train station and the city's public transportation systems. Additionally, the hotel is near the National Muziekkwartier, a live performance venue that attracts national and international acts. Each of the hotel's 12 rooms has a private bathroom, free wireless Internet access and includes breakfast. The hotel has a bar and restaurant on the first floor which serves three meals per day and drinks in the evenings. Additionally there are numerous coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance.
