  Lausanne, Switzerland is an international tourist destination located near Lake Geneva and the Savoy Alps. According to the Swiss tourism website, Lausanne has been the home of the International Olympic Committee since 1914. The city's center has a medieval feel thanks to the Gothic cathedral and charming streets lined with little shops and cafes. • The Hotel du Port is a small establishment on the Lake Geneva waterfront, owned and operated by the Nicolier family for three generations. According to the hotel's website, it is a seven-minute walk from the center of Lausanne.
