- Use the scene settings built into your JVC hard disk camcorder in order to shoot the best video possible. What scene settings you have will vary from model to model. Most JVC camcorders come with a night shooting mode as well as a mode for bright situations such as sand and snow and a sports mode for fast moving events. You can select a particular scene mode within the camcorder by pressing the menu button and then scrolling down to the scene settings menu. The menu button is typically located on the back of the camera.
- Connect your JVC hard disk camcorder to your computer via USB to download video and photo files. Once connected you should be able to access your camcorder's drive and drag and drop files off the camcorder much like you would another external hard drive. If you're having trouble transferring files from your camcorder to your computer, install the software that was included on a CD with your JVC camcorder.
