How to Uninstall GetPlus for Adobe
- 1). If the installation process is interrupted when installing an Adobe program, then getPlus will still be listed in services or "Program Files." Check to see if it's installed in "Services" by clicking "Start" and next "run." Type "services.msc." in the "Run" box. Click "OK." The "Services Local" box will appear. Scroll down to "getPlus(R) Helper." If it's listed here, then it's installed on your computer. To complete the uninstall, close any open browser windows.
- 2). Go to the "Control Panel." Usually this is "Start" to "Control Panel." Click on "Add and Remove Programs." Let the list populate, which can take a few seconds depending on the amount of programs installed.
- 3). Find "getPlus" and click "Remove." Press "F5" to refresh the screen and confirm that it's been deleted. Restart your computer and getPlus should be gone.
- 1). Go to "Tools" and go down to "Add-ons." When the "Add-ons" box opens, click the "Extensions" tab at the top of the "Add-ons" box.
- 2). Scroll down to find "Adobe DLM (powered by getPlus)." Click "Uninstall." A window will pop up asking "Do you want to uninstall getPlus?" Click "Uninstall." You will be prompted to restart Firefox, which you should do.
- 3). Go back into "Add-ons" in Firefox: "Tools" and down to "Add-ons." When the "Add-ons" box opens, click the "Plug-ins" tab. Find "getPlus for Adobe" and click on it. Click "Disable." You will once again be prompted to restart Firefox. This time close all windows in Firefox. Go to the location of your Firefox plugins. This is usually C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins. Find a file named np_gp.dll and delete it. If you can't find this file, then it's already been deleted.
- 1). Go to the "Tools" tab and then scroll down to "Manage Add-ons." Let the "Manage Add-ons" box open.
- 2). Click "Tools and Extenstions." Find "getPlus(R) Helper" and click on it to select.
- 3). At the bottom of the box, a "Disable" button will highlight. Click on the "Disable" button, and then close the box and restart the computer.
