Lullabies Are Not Only For Little Children

We often forget the power of music to affect the human brain in a positive or negative direction.
It is an important thing to remember- the brain being comprised of electrical circuits and impulses, and musical vibrations being converted to electrical impulse in the brain.
So there is a strong connection.
If you have never seen it, it is fascinating to watch a video of music's affect on the cells of the human body- realigning them and literally changing their physical shape.
Now I did not know about this when I was healing from state of loving someone with life-threatening addiction.
The life of what I call a "Second Hand Addict" was a madhouse- a roller coaster of conflicting emotions and powerlessness, with no ability to get off the ride.
In some of my worst moments of sadness and pain I would retreat to the bedroom, lock the door and put on my Shaina Noll Tape that I had heard about in my women's group.
The tape was called SONGS FOR THE INNER CHILD.
It was a tape of what might best be termed as lullabies, soft and sweet and comforting.
When I listened to it, immediately I was brought back to the state of being a little girl, being hugged, loved, comforted.
And for those few minutes of songs I would be taken out of that personal hell that I then lived in and brought back to a place of love.
How does this relate to Increasing Mental Power? I could then go back into the world again and function as normal.
The music had worked its magic on the very cells in my body, aligning them back into proper shape and form so that I could function again- in much the same way that mind entrainment works.
Later as I began to move away from that crazy life, I would sing those same lullabyes to my children- passing on the peace and healing in their life of turmoil with a disintegrating family.
Today- even as a teenager- my son still asks me to sing him to sleep with a Shaina Noll lullaby called You can be Anybody That You Want to Be.
He has learned a crucial lesson in life.
Lullabies are not only for little children.
