Converting VLC Video

• 1). Locate a video file you would normally open in VLC, such as an AVI file.
  
  
• 2). Open your video conversion software.
  
  
• 3). Enter the file you wish to convert to MPEG in the "Input File Name" field.
  
  
• 4). Enter a name and location for the converted file in the "Output File Name" field.
  
  
• 5). In the top row of file selections, click "To MPEG."
  
  
• 6). Click "Convert." Your resulting MPEG file can now be found in the location you selected and under the name you entered. The file can be viewed and handled in any program that can play MPEG files.
