Presidential Election 2012 - My View

Presidential Election 2012 my view for what it's worth.
For years we've had election after election for president of the United States, never in my lifetime has there been such an obvious difference between the candidates and the direction that they want to take the country.
I won't go into detail about the specifics that each candidate offers because unless you've been living under a rock you are fully abreast of all the issues involved.
My dilemma however, is how can someone explain to you step by step, how they are going to take the very thing that allows you to sustain the life you live and you still agree to vote for them? Now unless you are brainwashed your survival has always been priority number one, for if you don't survive what's the effort worth to you? Unless, there's a reason greater than your survival, because when I see terrorist on television who would actually strap a bomb on their body, run into a crowd and blow themselves up, I am forced to believe that they in fact do have a reason greater than their survival for making that decision.
But still they are leaving this planet, they are not still alive and having to deal with the day to day of their decision.
So my question again comes back to what on earth could be more important than your own survival? What could one have such an allegiance to, either spoken or unspoken that they are not willing to die for, but are willing to cause others in the exact same situation they are to suffer.
What on earth could that allegiance possibly be? Well I said I wasn't going to say it, but I believe you know exactly what that is.
And as you can see it runs very, very deep.
However, believe it or not it's really not their fault.
That's right certain things were taught and taught in a way that left absolutely no room for the possibility of change.
What does that mean you may ask, well ask yourself this question: would you rather be feared or respected? Because when your choose to live your life based on fear, many times it will cause you never to take a look at the possibility of change, fortunately or unfortunately being respected can have that same effect.
However, on the respect side you also have your peers that you have to respond to for the decisions you make.
So it's no longer a decision of one but a decision of the one that will stand for what's right and just.
