- The T-Mobile G1 will take the original MicroSD card in any speed class. Original MicroSD cards have memory capacities ranging from 1 to 4 GB.
- High Capacity (SDHC) MicroSD cards of any speed class are compatible with the G1. MicroSDHC cards have higher memory capacities than the original generation, holding 4 to 16 GB.
- Open slot cover on the base of the G1. Insert the microSD card into the slot while making sure the gold contacts are facing down and the notched side of the card is to the right. Snap the slot cover closed.
