- 1). Open Adobe Illustrator. Select "File > Open" from the application menu at the top of the computer screen to open your EPS file.
- 2). Make any necessary changes to your artwork and select "File > Save As" from the application menu.
- 3). Enter a name for your file in the "Save As" field and select a destination location for the file. Click "Format" and select ".EPS format" from the drop down menu. Click "Save" at the bottom right-hand corner of the dialogue box. Designate EPS-specific options for your file in the dialogue box that appears.
- 4). Mouse down to the "Preview" section of the dialogue box and click on "Format." Select one of the TIFF format options depending on the color properties of your file, then select whether you want the file to have a transparent or opaque background in nonvector programs by checking the appropriate box.
