There are too many deal breakers about the Zone diet and Jenny Craig programs.
In this report we are going to examine these systems for what is required and how much of an effect that this has on you.
The Zone Diet is created from the 40/30/30 theory.
This means that 40% of calories are supposed to come from carbs, 30% from protein, and 30% from the fats.
This was created by Barry Sears and actually there is a book out called "Enter the Zone".
Actually when a meal meets the requirements of the 40/30/30 theory this is what is referred to as the "Zone Favorable Meal".
Sears claims that making all meals Zone Favorable, your body will have reduced levels of insulin which leads to fat burning and weight loss.
A thing to remember about the Zone Diet is that everything must be precisely calculated at ever meal which could be tedious and inconvenient for people with busy schedules.
To spend a considerable amount of time following this diet could be too difficult for the average dieter.
There are also products available such as Zone bars, Shakes, and other products for dieters.
These products tend to cost a bit more than average products on the market and it is not really economical.
The Jenny Craig program may be simpler however it is pretty costly for the average person to participate.
The diet seems to be based upon eating fewer calories and exercising more.
At Jenny Craig you are assigned a personal weigh loss counselor to help you stay motivated and remain on the diet.
They are a big operation and have many weight loss centers located throughout the world.
A person on the program could actually meet in person with their nutrition consultant or make contact over the phone weekly.
They have pre-packaged meals and these could cost quite a bit as well.
These meals are a bit expensive when you compared to typical meals.
Ultimately these meals contain fewer calories, smaller portions or a combination of both.
At Jenny Craig you'll eat fewer calories while exercising more and in addition there is a weekly meeting with the nutrition counselor to keep you motivated.
The price of it certainly adds up when you consider all that you have to pay for in the Jenny Craig program.
It's not really wise to use this program because you are required to spend money for special meals.
The Zone diet ultimately is complex with regards to the calculations that have to be made.
Jenny Craig is not really a cost effective weight loss option.
The Zone diet has its advantages and cost less, however ultimately we recommend against both of these programs.
