    • 1). Pay attention to the cost of the built-in refrigerator models you're comparing. These models cost more than stand-alone models. Set a budget and look at only models within your price range. The prices will be in the product description if you're looking online or near the display in retail locations.

    • 2). Measure the space available for the built-in refrigerator. Measure the area from the front of kitchen counters to the back wall, as well as the width of the space. Add about 2 inches to these measurements. Then find the measurements for each built-in refrigerator in its product description.

    • 3). Ask a salesperson if you can add panels to the front of the built-in refrigerator to integrate it into your kitchen's design. If so, ask to see panel options to match them with your cabinets or counters.
