Help! My Relationship Is Disappearing

Have you ever asked for help to save your relationship?

Many of us out there are afraid to ask for help. Maybe you are just feeling a bit uneasy about your relationship and would like to strengthen your bond with your partner. Moreover, there are times when you know things are on a downward spiral and you don't know what to do or where to start.

Perplexing, worrisome, and fear are a few of the words that may describe your current situation. One needs to stand free of all the emotions and analyze the relationship regarding the past, present, and future. It is a heavy weight to bear emotional and physically.

Truth be told...The only way to correct or fix a problem is to acknowledge that a problem actually exists and try to determine the underlying reason or root of the problem. How are you going to fix it if you don't know what needs fixing?

Let's start with the basics:

Do you know what is wrong with the relationship? Be realistic and objective as possible.

Is this a reoccurring theme and the same problem keeps popping up time after time?

Did this new challenge come from out-of-nowhere? Could someone else be in the picture?

Can you see the problem(s)?

What role(s) have you played in creating or renewing this problem? Remember, it takes two to make a relationship work.

Is the relationship is worth saving?

Can and are you willing to change?

Is your partner willing to change and work on the relationship?

Do you know there is NO MAGIC WAND to make this better overnight?

These are the tough questions one must ask before anything positive can be accomplished or reconnected.

Just take the next step. Nothing happens by itself. Change is the direct result of action and you must initiate the change. Call, Write, Discuss, Change...just do something to get started.

Small steps can lead to a better relationship!

It's just going to take some time and effort, but if it's really something you want, if it's really something worth fighting for - you can make it work!

Best Wishes,
