How to Switch the Video Player on Windows XP to QuickTime

    • 1). Open a new Windows Explorer window and locate a video you want played with QuickTime by default.

    • 2). Right-click your video's icon and scroll down to "Open With." Select the "Choose Program..." option.

    • 3). Navigate through the list of programs and select QuickTime Player. Check the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" box at the bottom of the window.

      Click "OK" to make QuickTime your default video player.
