How to Cover a Cork Board With Fabric
- 1). Cut a piece of fabric so that it is 1 ½-inches longer and wider than your cork board.
- 2). Lay down the fabric print-side-down on a flat surface.
- 3). Lay the cork board on top of the fabric.
- 4). Pull the excess length over to the back of your cork board.
- 5). Pull the fabric taut and staple the excess to the cork board. Arrange the staples a couple of inches apart around the edges and continue to pull the fabric taut to avoid wrinkles.
- 6). If desired, apply trim around the edges of your corkboard. Simply lay down the ribbon or fabric strip of your choice and attach to the board with fabric tape. Or, instead of adding a simple decorative frame to the edges, arrange your ribbon in a criss-cross pattern across the board.
