- The SR2163WM was designed around the tower form factor and housed in a mid-sized ATX case. It measured 7.1 inches wide, 16.3 inches deep and 15.4 inches tall. Standard configurations of the computer weighed 24.0 lbs. Power was supplied via a 300-watt internal power supply. The SR2163WM shipped with a standard PS/2 Compaq keyboard and a PS/2 scroller mouse.
- The Presario SR2163WM was built on the RC415ST-HM motherboard manufactured by ECS. The motherboard featured the ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 chip set. An Intel Pentium4 631 single-core processor handled the processing on the Presario SR2163WM. The processor featured a clock speed of 3.0 GHz and a bus speed of 800 MHz. For memory, the SR2163WM came standard with 512MB of PC2-4200 RAM. The system could support up to 2GB of RAM and was compatible with PC2-3200 memory as well as PC-4200.
- The SR2163WM came standard with a 160GB, 7,200 rpm internal SATA hard drive. An integrated Intel graphics controller that shared 256MB of RAM with the system's main memory processed the computer graphics. Audio was handled by an integrated Realtek ALC888 audio controller that featured high-definition six-channel output capability. The SR2163WM also included a 16X SuperMulti DVD rewritable drive featuring LightScribe technology and a 2MB data buffer.
- The SR2163WM also featured both a 56K PCI 2.2 fax modem and a Realtek RTL8100 10-Base-T Ethernet card for connecting to the Internet or a local area network. Connections available on the front of the computer included two USB 2.0 jacks and a single 3.5-mm headphone output. The rear of the computer featured four more USB 2.0 jacks, two PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports, a 15-pin VGA port, one audio, one line-in and one line-out port.
